Sayan Mountains lie in the very centre of the Asian continent. Their ridges stretch for many hundreds of kilometers and occupy a really huge area of 455 000 square kilometers between Lake Baikal and Altaj Mountains (it makes the territory of modern Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland together).

The region of Sayan Mountains remains to the most part as beautiful and untouched as it was centuries ago. Only a few tourists and mountain climbers come here looking for adventures.
